Hi, I’m Anil .
I’m results-driven executive with global exposure and my expertise lies in a broad range of critical functions to any apparel organization with expertise in
- Technical Designing
- Technical Specs, Packages,
- Quality Control.
I have over twenty year of experience directing teams globally and overseeing the Quality Assurance, and Technical Service .I have an excellent understanding of garment construction and finishing of high-end tailored wear, casual/sportswear, denim product, in both woven and cut & sew knit from product development stages to final inspection.
My experience also extends to cover some of the more administrative/operational functions such as Quality Assurance systems and processes including development of standard operating procedures and training tools, including e-learning.
I have extensive experience working with overseas factories in Asia, the Middle East and Central America. I have always had a heavy focus on developing the staff and motivating the factories and vendors to work as strategic partners.
I am fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, started his career on the factory side in Noida (India) as the GM of Production and Design for Samtex Fashions until being recruited to GAP which he took in an effort to work on Quality and eventually make his way to the US. In Gap,I took the role as a Technical Department head in India for a year and a half until being recruited to May Department Stores as the Country Manager of Quality. Finally in 2000 I was recruited to Fossil, in Texas to help start apparel as their Technical and Quality Manager. In January of 2003 I was able to get to NYC and that was with Missok. After three years of working for the women’s brand Misook,it was bought my HartMarx who actually bought the company and retained me to do their Technical and Production, which then turned into a company called Gertex. For 6 years I trained and coached a team of 4 overseas and one domestic subordinate while opening up factories in Bangladesh, Egypt. Honduras, Pakistan and the LDC in the US.
There is nothing better than technology to monitor, control and save cost either side, so I kept myself adept in new technology and learnt eCommerce, web services, Xcelsius, and other presentation management tools that help to make effective marketing and communication.
My goal is to learn the systems and strategies that I use… to show you the right way to trade so you are more profitable and confident when it comes to entering a trade.
To bridge gap in industry and to support new budding stars, I have written books, and manage Forum of fashion and Textile Technocrats, which is primarily aimed to bridge and support technical knowledge among young professionals.
